Timber Framed Buildings – Open and Closed Panels
For open panel walls (i.e. walls which are insulated prior to the installation of the internal sheathing board, Cosycell fibre insulation may be damp spray applied.
Once sprayed, the wall is leveled off to the depth of the studs, ensuring the wall is completely filled, with no air pockets or voids, even around pipe work , wiring or other obstructions.
Cosycell is installed in closed panel structures including walls, floors and sloping roofs using a turbo fill injection nozzle. The panel is closed with a sheathing board or air tight membrane and a hole is made through which Cosycell fibre is injected. The fibre delivery machine measures the density of insulation to ensure the void is completely filled to the correct density.
